Chhattisgarh: In body blow to Reds, one of top netas killed at Gariaband

Security forces have killed CPI (Maoist) central committee member Chalapati, who carried a Rs 1 crore bounty, in a two-day encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Gariaband. This significant operation involved Chhattisgarh’s District Reserve Guards, CRPF, CoBRA, and Odisha’s Special Operation Group. Chalapati's death follows the recent killing of the CPI (Maoist) Telangana state committee secretary, marking a notable success against extremists.
